A COMPATIBILITY OF DUSTLESS ALGINATE IMPRESSION MATERIALS AND GYPSUM CAST MATERIALS ACCORDING TO THE TREATMENT OF DISINFECTION SOLUTION

It was important concept that the negative form of impression was disinfected because of infection control in dental clinic. Several studies about disinfection of impression was reported. Some impression materials was changed in dimension after
disinfection of impression.
To investigate the compatibility of impression materials and gypsum cast materials used in dental clinic according to the treatment of disinfection solution, 6 dustless alginate impression materials and 5 gypsum cast materials were used in this
study.
Compatibility of these materials evaluated according the ISO No. 1563.
There were no changes on compatibility of dustless alginate impression materials and gypsum cast materials except ID-DS and AP-DS after and before disinfection. So it was considered that the compatibility test of alginate impression fnatrials and
gypsum
cast materials should be done when using disinfection solution.
